conditions of hire
note: The current rates are subject to change. After a reservation deposit is paid the price quoted will not change.

1. All bookings commence at 3.00pm and the houseboat must be vacated by 10.00am on the day of departure.
2. A deposit of $500.00 within 7 days of booking is required as confirmation. Full payment of the hire is due 8 weeks in advance of the hire date, non payment by this date will be taken to be a cancellation.
BOND of $800.00 is payable on arrival and will be refunded within 48 hours less fuel and any damage or excessive cleaning if boat is left in a dirty condition.
SINGLE SEX GROUPS will pay $1500.00 bond on arrival.
3. Cancellation of bookings. There will be no refund of money until the original booking has been re-booked by another party for the full period and hire value.
4. Fuel used during the hire period will be paid for by the hirer at the completion of holiday.
5.Number of people - must not exceed the number of berths allowed for under the Waterways N.S.W.

 6.Drivers - anyone who drives the houseboat must be 18 years of age or over and must hold a current Driver?fs License.
7. The Craft must remain between the area of the Barmah Bridge and Torrumbarry Lock and only be driven in daylight hours.
8. River Conditions - In the unlikely event of unfavourable river conditions or any unforeseen circumstances causing damage to the river craft, the proprietors reserve the right to re-arrange the booking. Every effort will be made to give notice in advance, in the above mentioned circumstance.
9. Boat Condition - We agree to have the boat, motor and accessories in good order. We will not be obligated to compensate the hirer for loss of time due to mechanical problems during the hire period.
10. The Houseboat must be returned in good, clean condition or an extra cleaning charge will be made.
11. Due to Health Regulations - No pets please. Also no firearms.
12. Car Parking space is provided at Merool Caravan Park. Payment direct to Merool Caravan Park.
